Chocolate Wafers

Melt 2 ounces chocolate
Add 1 cup sugar and 1/2 cup me;ted butter
Add yolks of two eggs into beaten egg white.
Stir into chocolate mix
Add 1/2 cup flour and 1/2 tsp vanilla

Spread on well-buttered pan in a 350 deg. oven, gradually decrease to 300 deg.
Cook 10-12 minutes
Let cool, put in a tin and do not eat for at least two days.

Seriously, these are so delicious - but wait, as it says. If you eat right away you will want to toss them, the taste is not there yet *grin*


JEANNINE's Orange Scones


1.2 cup sesame seeds
3 tbsp grated orange rind
3 cups flour
3 tbsp brown sugar
tbsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt
3/4 cup shortening
1 cup oj
3 tbsp sugar

Combine seeds through salt, then cut in 3/4 cup shortening - add the orange juice, mix until clinging to fork (soft dough).
turn dough onto lightly floured surface and knead gently 5/6 times. Roll into a 7" round.
Place on baking sheet - pierce top with fork and place into pre-heated 475 deg. oven for 15 to 18 minutes.

In a small pan-combine; 8 tbsp OJ, 10 tbsp sugar - boil, and then stir in 4 tbsp orange rind.
Brush atop finished (baked) scone and sprinkle with additional seeds.
Cut into as big or as small of pieces as you would like.

This is SO very delicious, my sister Jeannine made this for dh's and my honeymoon morning breakfast.
